WHY AN ORGANIC “BIO” CERTIFICATION?

Nowadays it is no longer enough to offer consumers products so called “natural”. One must also give proof and tangible guarantees that these products are grown without pesticides, weed killers, chemical fertilizer or other related products, the majority of which are harmful even dangerous to the health. For this is the real issue at hand when one speaks of “ORGANIC or BIO”: the health of the consumer!

EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE DIFFERENT PROCESSES OF ORGANIC or BIO CERTIFICATION

To be truly effective and justified, an ORGANIC or BIO certification must be established for a limited period of time and renewable in order to ensure that the participants scrupulously respect the implementation of the rules laid down by the certifying entity.

Too often, ORGANIC or BIO certifications are still issued “for life”, based on a single visit to the growing fields without further monitoring or, even worse, sometimes without a single visit. There is then no guarantee that the products harvested under these programs, are truly ORGANIC or BIO.

This uncertainty cannot exist with serious ORGANIC programs such as those established by "BCS-Öeko Guarantie in Germany" which are implementednted by Tahiti Naturel.

OUR ORGANIC “BIO” CERTIFICATIONS: A GUARANTEE OF HIGHER PRODUCTION STANDARDS

TAHITI NATUREL has chosen a system of complete ORGANIC certification in partnership with two different certifiers: BCS-Öeko Garantie in Germany for the production.

In Tahiti, at the manufacturing stage, the process starts with the control of the fields, the harvest of the fruits, the production, the post production, the packing and the shipping (implemented and monitored by BCS-Öeko Garantie).

Experienced inspectors, often themselves actual farmers with a thorough knowledge of the environment - and who live with great enthusiasm their “ORGANIC” mandate as a true mission -, make regular annual visits to the fields and production sites.

In addition, a complete step by step production records scrupulously documented must be available to the inspectors at all times, as well as a multitude of other documents applying to the system of ORGANIC tracing process.

Those types of serious programs are the guarantee of higher production standards.
